The Lichtwerkstatt Jena is an open workshop, a so-called makerspace at the Abbe Center of Photonics. Anyone with an interest in the fields of light and optics is given free access to modern technical equipment as well as the necessary know-how to develop and realize their own ideas. The Lichtwerkstatt Jena offers space to experiment together, exchange experiences and find new collaborators for joint projects. Enthusiastic makers meet companies that can open up their innovation processes to new ideas and gain new approaches to solutions. Together with our partners, we offer a range of event formats such as workshops, hackathons and innovation camps.
